Exactly 40 years ago filmmaker George Lucas expanded his rapidly growing visual storytelling empire to a new and exciting interactive world. Lucasfilm Games was built on Lucasfilm Computer Division, which had been founded three years earlier in 1979.
Lucasfilm Games has gone through many phases during the decades, and even a rebranding to LucasArts. Regardless of the exact name, many gamers have fond memories of many of the company’s games, whether they are the classic point ’n’ click adventure games of Indiana Jones and Monkey Island or the many games based on Lucasfilm’s franchises, like Star Wars.
